How Badly Do We Want Young People to be Critical Thinkers?
27. September,10:30 - 12:00
What does it mean to think critically? How much space for critical thinking is there in school? Do schools encourage critical thinking at all? We will then focus on critical thinking as a socially reflective and self-reflective practice and examine its presence within the Slovenian school system. We will look at the examples of good practice and encourage students to find their own examples of good practice. Finally, we will encourage young people to bring forward their own initiatives about how to bring more critical thinking into schools, which will contribute to them becoming active citizens.
