Guided Tour of Archaeological Park Simonov zaliv

The sheltered area of Simon’s Bay attracted wealthy Romans as early as 2,000 years ago, leading them to build a large harbor and, alongside it, a luxurious Roman seaside villa. Today, its remains can be viewed as part of Archaeological Park Simonov zaliv. During a walk through the park, we will learn about the villa and some of its characteristic rooms, become familiar with the fate of the site after the villa’s decline, and finally explore the charms and challenges of archaeological work.
