Rehabilitation
27. September,08:00 - 16:00
Participants will be given a short introductory lecture on the basics of kinesiology tapes and will learn more about their use in physiotherapy and their effects on a variety of pathologies. This will be followed by a practical demonstration of kinesiotaping techniques and a demonstration of the correct application of kinesiology tapes. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in a creative workshop where they will be able to make their own models of kinesiology tapes and apply them to a specific segment. At the same time, they will learn about the different types of walking aids and the role they play in the rehabilitation process of the patient. This will be followed by a short discussion on the different pathologies that often lead to the use of walking aids, encouraging the active participation of the participants. A practical demonstration will cover the correct set-up and safe walking with the use of underarm and dock-arm crutches and a walking stick, which will be given to the participants to try out themselves.
