Fake News and Information Literacy

Participants learn about critical thinking methods (from the field of media ecology) for understanding fake news production strategies. They learn to navigate among the abundance of information in the media environment and become aware of their own media self.
Participants learn
1) the difference between information, misinformation and disinformation;
2) the effects of false information and why no one is immune to disinformation;
3) some practical skills and information on how to identify and raise awareness of fake news in the context of a non-fake media landscape.
