Mindfulness will be presented and defined followed by the results of the research to find out whether mindfulness techniques can really reduce stress, help in establishing better relationships and increase the quality of life in general. Some particular strategies for stress management will be presented. Basic mindfulness meditation will be practically demonstrated.
Participants will receive comprehensive information about mindfulness and expected benefits of regular practice of meditative and relaxation techniques. They will learn the basic steps of mindfulness meditation so that they will be empowered to practice autonomously.

Professor Dejan Dinevski
Employed at the Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Education of the University of Maribor. He is an active teacher of yoga, meditation, mindfulness and relaxation techniques for the last 29 years. He is a part of the research projects that are investigating the effects of these techniques to the health and the quality of life.
